Mayweather explains Usyk’s win over Joshua

The American has broken down that bout between the Ukrainian and the Englishman, explaining that Usyk should have been more highly rated ahead of the fight at Wembley

That was not an upset,” Mayweather told the media this week.

“It was just that Anthony Joshua was on TV. Everybody seen him.

Usyk was a hell of a fighter, a gold medallist if I’m not mistaken. But, he was behind the scenes.

“They were two guys with crazy amateur backgrounds and one guy not being seen and another guy being seen. So, then we call it an upset.

“It was actually just that he was working behind the scenes and another guy was working in front of everybody. Finally, they to meet up and Anthony Joshua came up short.”
