Nigeria has recorded 170 new cases of the novel coronavirus, therefore amounting the country’s total infections number to 2,558; This was however announced by The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in a tweet at 12.01am on Monday, May 4.
It was however, stated by the NCDC that of the new infections, 39 are in Lagos, 29 from Kano, 24 in Ogun, 18 from Bauchi and 17 from Kaduna.
The FCT and Sokoto had 12 each, while Katsina has 8 cases and 7 cases were recorded in Borno. Three cases were recorded in Nasarawa, two in Adamawa and one in Oyo state.
The number of discharged persons increased from 385 to 400, while the fatalities recorded rose from 85 to 87.
