Nigeria’s COVID-19 Cases hit 51,304 and death toll rises to 996 as 340 new cases were confirmed

Nigeria keep breaking new record of covid-19 cases everyday long, despite the presidential task force PTF guideline recommendations to stop the rapid spread of the deadly disease.

However, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that the nation now has 51,304 cases of COVID-19 after recording 340 new infections in the night of Friday, August 21.

From its Twitter page, the NCDC revealed that the death toll from the coronavirus pandemic is 996 with 37885 discharged patients who have fully recovered from the disease.

The national health agency also disclosed from its chart that Kaduna is now top on the list among high-risk states in relation to the virus with 63 new infections, while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has 51 cases added to what it already has.
