The CEO of NiDCOM Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa expresses high level of disapproval over cyber crime on Nation’s image

Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, who is the Chairman and CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has definitely condemn the ridicule effect which cyber crime brought to the country’s image globally.

However, the BOSS disclosed this during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday at the capital territory FCT Abuja.

The address of cyber crime given by the BOSS was based on the background of Ramoni Igbalode who is best known as Ray Hushpuppi and his gang over the recent fraud committed by them in Dubai concerning the fund for the aid of COVID-19 coming to America.

“Committing crime and still having the audacity to show off like Ramoni Igbalode aka Hushpuppi. This is really denting to our image as a people.

“But like I always say, fraud does not represent who we are as Nigerians; hardworking, dedication and commitment is what we, as a country are known for,”

However, it was discovered that Ray Huspuppi was arrested along with Olalekan  Ponle, also known as Woodberry and 10 others.

Perhaps, fraud committed amount to 1.6 billion dirhams ($435,611,200).Dubai police seized cash worth 150 million dirhams ($40,838,550) during the raid, 21 laptops as well as 47 smartphones.
