The Nigeria center for disease control (NCDC) confirms 338 new cases, amounting the total number to 5,959

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Sunday, May, 17 confirmed 338 new cases of the novel coronavirus in the country.

The NCDC in a tweet disclosed that the 338 new cases were spread across 18 states.

A breakdown of cases by state showed that

Lagos recorded 177 new cases,

Kano 64,

Abuja 21,

Rivers with 16,

Plateau and 14,

Oyo 11.

Katsina recorded 9,

Jigawa 4,

Kaduna 4,

Abia 3,

Bauchi 3,

Borno 3,

Gombe 2,

Akwa Ibom 2,
